OBIEE 12c Installation Error: Could not extract the archive since it is corrupted

This is a quick post for those trying to install OBIEE12c.

After unzipping the installation files you would probably see this in your directory:

After executing the .exe file you get the following error message:

"Could not extract the archive since it is corrupted. Error code=1"


Resolution: One workaround to this issue is simply unzipping the .exe file using 7-zip


 Now the installation directory should look like this:

Go ahead and perform OBIEE12c installation from this directory:

Disk1>"c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_65\bin\java.exe" -jar install/modules/ora-launcher.jar

(Note: This assumes you already installed JDK 1.8.0.65 - part of the OBIEE12c installation)

    Hi! Is there any other way that I unzip the exe file without installing unzip software on my machine. Please advice me. Thanks!

      You must have at least one unzip utility, I have not tried other than 7-zip, but I suspect it should work.

    During the launch an error occurs:"Could not find or load main class oracle.sysman.oio.oioc.OiocOneClickInstaller"
    How do I resolve this?

      Hi,
      Unfortunately the message is very generic which can be triggered by many reasons.
      Please, check the prerequisites for this installation or else copy here a more detailed information.

    Thanks, It seems it is workign but I am getting this issue. Can you save me out.
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Expecting an absolute path of the library: jni_winx64
    at java.lang.Runtime.load0(Runtime.java:806)

    O erro ocorre porque o instalador não encontra o disco 2, vocês devem fazer o download no site da Oracle os arquivos:
    1 - jdev_suite_122100_win64-2.exe
    2 - jdev_suite_122100_win64-2.rar (Não precisa descompactar) deixe os dois na mesma pasta.

    Hi
    I just extracted both the zip files once, so i’m installing the exe file extracted from 1 of 1 and installation begins after sometime it closes automatically with message ‘clearing up’. But this is happening after the Installation status bar is fully loaded. Also I don’t see the files installed in C drive. Anyone please tell me if i’m doing something wrong?

    even iam getting same error, windows update services was disabled. after enabling win update services then worked fine.

    We are now install oracle 12 C is all fine and and now we are installation em13200 is showing in some error.This cause is how to do.Please reply this issue thank you.
